About College

Govt. Polytechnic College, Morena was established in 1984. It is one of the leading polytechnic college in the State of Madhya Pradesh. We are running four diploma courses namely Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Science & Engg., with intake capacity of 66 in each discipline. The entire block of buildings are so strategically placed that there is never a need of artificial light during daytime. The campus of the institute has amenities like a Hostel, Canteen, and Staff Quarters etc. The Institute has well equipped laboratories, library and computer centres. The students study in pleasant and intellectually stimulating environment. The institute is approved by ALL INDIA COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (www.aicte.ernet.in), New Delhi, DEPARTMENT OF TCHNICAL EDUCATION (www.mptechedu.org), Government of Madhya Pradesh and Affiliated RAJIV GANDHI PROUDYOGIKI VISHWAVIDYALAYA (www.rgtu.net), BHOPAL, a University of Technology of Madhya Pradesh.

Last Three Year Innovation Details

College was founded in the year 1984 with a course Diploma in Civil Engineering at Gwalior Headquarter. Two new Courses Diploma in Mechanical Engineering & Diploma in Electrical Engineering were introduced in the year 1990. In 1995, Institute Shifted to Morena headquarter with discontinuation of Diploma in Civil Engineering. Janbhagidari samiti of the institute was constituted in 2003. Two more branches Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering and Diploma in electronics & Telecommunication Engineering were introduced in the year 1990. Dr. Baba Sahib Bhimrao Ambedkar Scheme came in force for the Students of Schedule Caste in 2006. In 2009, Ten Percent extra seats have been sanctioned in each of the four branches through lateral entry. After the declaration of Honourable Chief Minister, ten additional seats in each branch have been sanctioned in 2010.
